This year’s London Design Festival is set to be a roaring success, with an incredible collection of installations and exciting launch events on the cards, that will draw crowds from around the country and the world.

As part of the capital event this September, Elias and Yousef Anastas will be debuting their While We Wait installation at the V&A Museum. The unique, shapely creation is inspired by the scenery of the Cremisan Valley, which is located on the border between Bethlehem and Jerusalem and will explore the cultural claim over nature in Palestine.

Surrounding the pivotal topic of the construction of the separation wall that runs along the centre of the Cremisan Valley and separates the 19th century monastery and the local community, this installation not only challenges architectural and design boundaries through the use of ‘stereotomy’, the art of cutting stones, but also pushes visitors to challenge cultural boundaries, too.
