Syd and Shea: the creative minds behind Studio McGee, launched their design firm back in 2014 and since then they’ve built a hugely successful reputation for creating imaginative, on-trend designs that transform the homes of families across the nation.
In their latest ‘webisode’ the design team present their transformation of their friend and colleague, Beth’s kitchen. Usually working from behind the camera, and having seen the amazing restorations and re-designs created by the Studio McGee team, Beth and her partner had high expectations of what they wanted from a new kitchen. A tuxedo style scheme was chosen – with black lower cabinetry and crisp white finished wall-hung cabinetry, creating an impressive visual contrast between the two.
The cabinetry and shelving was from Semihandmade, and use a traditional shaker style door that adds a timeless appeal to the scheme. Combing these monochromatic colours with a geometric-patterned tile flooring makes a real statement, and life the whole scheme, with visual attention directed from the floor upwards.
