British Standard digs deep to create a new basement area in their Hoxton showroom

Fresh from its recent renovations, British Standard’s showroom, in Hoxton, is a style sanctuary. After being inspired by the stunning collections on the main floor, stepping down into the lower level will immerse you within the creative design process. The entire basement is a dedicated zone for you to discuss your vision with the professionals who can help bring your ideas to life.

The basement space features an industrial-inspired colour palette of dark neutrals, earthy pastels, slate greys and deep greens, offset
with accents of powder blue and pale lime. The company’s shaker-style cabinetry is shown paired with reclaimed brass taps; giving a small taste of British Standard’s own ironmongery ranges.

All of British Standard’s collections are handcrafted in their founding company’s (Plain English) workshop in Suffolk. They come fully assembled, primed and painted with an undercoat of Broken White Eggshell. The cupboards are crafted from high-quality wood, solid timber frames and solid brass butt hinges, while the drawers also feature unique full dovetail jointing.
