Lucy Lamb, a senior Account Manager, and husband Adrian, a Company Director, wanted a kitchen that they could use to entertain friends and family and that had plenty of storage. “We wanted something with a traditional feel but also had a modern twist,” explains Lucy. “Something in keeping with the rest of the house.”

During a visit to the Barras showroom, the couple spotted a stylish Butler’s pantry unit and fell in love with it. “We had actually planned to buy a completely different kitchen, and were about to finalise the order when we spotted the units!” said Lucy. The unit paved the way for the rest of the design and they chose a beautiful kitchen island in Steel Blue with quartz work surfaces in ‘Soft Concrete’ by CRL Stone.

James Spencer, Director, Barres Home Improvement Ltd, added: “The homeowners went for a mix of Limestone and Steel Blue for their cabinetry and island. We supplied all the appliances, which were predominantly Neff, but we also included a Fisher & Paykel DishDrawer. They love to entertain so we included four wine chillers in the island, a pop-up socket (also in the island) and a hot tap.” “We discovered that Adrian had a penchant for gadgets so we added a touch control automated pop up socket in the island. The work surfaces by CRL Stone were the final piece of the jigsaw and really complement the flooring and door colours.”
