This summer, staff from Zip Water UK, manufacturers of advanced drinking water appliances – together with sister company Instanta, leading commercial water boiler providers – are joining forces in a charity challenge dubbed ‘Hydrate & Donate’.
With a host of hydration-themed fundraising activity planned, the challenge will kick off with a charity cake sale and culminate on 11th September when Zip’s cycling team will embark on a four-day, 350-mile charity bike ride. Setting off from Instanta’s factory in Southport, Merseyside, the team will travel down to Zip’s head office in Dereham, Norfolk and finish on 14th September at Zip’s London office in Farringdon.
Running for a total of four weeks, Hydrate & Donate will see various other fundraising events take place across the three offices, including bake sale competitions, dress down days and raffle draws, with prizes including two Zip HydroTap Classics. With the combined efforts across the three offices, Zip and Instanta hope to reach their fundraising target of £5k, which will be equally split between the offices’ three chosen charities.
Zip’s London office have opted for Cancer Research UK, which funds clinical trials to bring new cancer treatments to patients as quickly and safely as possible, while its Dereham office have chosen The Royal British Legion, which provides lifelong support for the Royal Navy, British Army, Royal Air Force, Reservists, veterans, and their families. At Instanta, the team have nominated Queenscourt Hospice, which provides specialist end of life care to patients from Southport, Formby and West Lancashire.
Zip marketing director Russell Owens says: “We’re really looking forward to kicking off the Hydrate & Donate challenge, and with the Zip and Instanta teams’ combined efforts, we’re hopeful we’ll reach our £5k target for what are three fantastic charities.”Zip | nowzipit.co.uk
