Today officially marks this week’s #ThrowbackThursday, and who better to celebrate the day with than Alan Drumm – last year’s Designer Award winner for Kitchen Design of the Year (Over £25K).
Alan, designer at Uncommon Projects, was presented with the Designer Award for his luxurious kitchen project situated within a contemporary home extension.
Alan and the Uncommon Projects team were asked by their clients to design a bespoke kitchen and shelving system that stretched from the basement level, through the kitchen, and up to the study located on the first floor.
The homeowner’s were clear that they did not want a generic white kitchen – and Uncommon Projects certainly did not disappoint with their stunning cabinetry featuring steely blues and mustard yellows.
Commenting on the homeowner’s creative criteria, Alan Drumm remarked “They did not give us a very prescriptive brief, only defining the kitchen appliances they wanted to incorporate, and were happy for us to come up with a concept we believed would work in the space.”
