Smeg UK has announced the appointment of three new positions within the UK company.
Allister Reed, former regional training and salesman for Smeg, has been promoted to the position of sink and tap sales manager. Coming as a new role to the company, the position will see Allister working closely with Smeg’s sales team to nurture and build upon opportunities within the brands existing customers.
Commenting on the new appointment, sales director Paul Barker remarked “Having already spent three years with the company in a regional training and sales support role, Allister is the perfect person to lead and develop this specialist area of the brand.”
The second appointment comes from Mark Towns, who has been announced as the brand’s new regional sales support manager across the central region. Covering the Midlands and East Anglia, Mark joins the company with a wealth of industry experience at brands such as Rangemaster and Indesit.
Clare Edwards, national training and support manager remarked “We are confident Mark’s passion for the industry and extensive experience ensures he’ll enjoy his role at Smeg and hit the ground running.”
Finally, Smeg UK has appointed Simon Starkie as the new head of small domestic appliances. Simon will be tasked with working to support Smeg’s independent electrical retailers, national accounts, and department stores. Additionally, Simon will also be instrumental in the ongoing growth of Smeg’s SDA business and new product developments.
