Ideal Standard has announced that Director of Business Development and Ireland, John Robinson, will take up an Industry Ambassador role with the company following his decision to step down from the UK Executive Board in April.
John Robinson, who has worked for Ideal Standard for 31 years, has accepted the opportunity to work in the capacity of a Non-Executive Director as an Industry Ambassador on a part-time basis. In his new role, Robinson will be responsible for building, maintaining and leveraging key relationships with industry bodies on behalf of Ideal Standard.
Robinson started his career with Ideal Standard – a leading provider of innovative and design-driven bathroom solutions – on 5th January 1987 and has had a highly successful career within the company, having steadily worked his way up through the ranks. Starting as a Sales Representative, Robinson was promoted to Regional Development Manager, then to Regional Sales Manager in 1992, and in 1997 his role extended to managing the Ireland team. Robinson then progressed further, taking up various roles including National Sales Manager New Build, Sales Director Specification, Sales Development Director UK and Western Europe and Sales Development Director Iberia and Ireland before taking up his current position of Business Director OEM and Ireland.
