Emma Furber of Arthouse Creative Interiors talks us through her project that’s shortlisted for the ‘New Designer of the Year Award’ at the Designer Kitchen & Bathroom Awards 2017.
“It is great to be shortlisted for the Designer Kitchens & Bathrooms Awards 2017 with this design, which was created for a lovely couple with a little girl on the way! I am inspired by every client, to understand their individual needs for their kitchen design and to also bring in new ideas that they may not have considered. This client was a young professional couple with a keen eye for design and their brief needed to encompass the lifestyle requirements of all of their family. Living on the coast in Anglesey they had stunning views of the sea, I used this as a blind influence to mirror the outside environment in the home and wanted to create a serene and calming atmosphere. They wanted a luxury SieMatic kitchen but had a strict budget to keep to as they were renovating their whole home. With a purist style in mind, they also wanted a handleless kitchen that created a minimalist and contemporary look. The room wanted to be light and airy with the Gloss Lotus White furniture and the contrast of the Matt Graphite Grey island which was a subtle feature to bring a connection to the glass roof and patio doors in this open plan style living.”
The 2017 Designer Kitchen & Bathroom award-winning entries will be announced at The Bloomsbury Big Top, London on the 22nd November.Arthouse Creative Interiors | arthousecreativeinteriors.co.uk
