By awarding Dan Hughes with the 50% scholarship for the award-winning foundation degree course in Kitchen Design at Buckinghamshire New University, Cosentino continues to support the The Kitchen Education Trust, the kitchen industry, and its professionals.
The Kitchen Education Trust is a registered charity that provides a link between the kitchen industry and higher education, acting as an intermediary in the award of scholarships, and works with the university to help shape the course content.
A designer at the Cosentino Elite Studio, Dan Hughes is delighted to have been selected for the course. A three-year distance learning course, it focuses on a wide range of topics including design, sales and marketing, business, materials, manufacturing and project management, with students taught at the highest level by industry experts.
Dan Hughes said, “I have worked in the kitchen industry for 14 years, but this is a great opportunity for me to expand my horizons and learn from industry professionals at the top of their game. I am hugely appreciative to Cosentino for its support, and I am looking forward to getting to grips with the various aspects of the course, which I will be able to apply to my work at Classic & Modern Kitchens.”
Paul Gidley, Area Director for Cosentino UK added, “At Cosentino, we are committed to supporting our industry and nurturing upcoming talent. We are delighted to be supporting The Kitchen Education Trust through the offer of a 50% scholarship on such a prestigious course, and we look forward to seeing more from Dan as he progresses through his studies.”
