Claire Gay, Sector Marketing Manager at Roca, talks grand plans and brand stands at Kbb

In preparation for KBB Birmingham next week, Claire Gay from Roca answers questions about the grandest brands and stands at the imminent exhibition.

What can visitors expect to see when visiting the Roca Group stand?
Visitors can expect to see exciting new products from all of our brands – Roca, Laufen, Armani/Roca and Cosmic – when they come to our stand (suites 31-32).

Roca has been looking to the past as well as the future with the innovative products it will be launching at the show. The new Beyond looks to the future, its smooth and sleek lines exude contemporary design whilst its rounded bath and WC provide a sense of the space-age. On the other side of the timeline is Carmen, which pays tribute to the past with the redesign of an iconic model from Roca’s history. The classical Carmen washbasin has been recreated and a complete bathroom collection introduced for customers looking for a vintage style. It may take its inspiration from the past, but Carmen also has modern features including rimless WCs. Roca will also be displaying the In-Wash Inspira Smart WC along with the stunning Armani/Roca collection, Baia.

Laufen is delighted to be launching SONAR to the UK market at KBB. SONAR is the very latest design collaboration from renowned designer Patricia Urquiola, which takes Laufen’s pioneering SaphirKermiK material to the next level, with the innovative new collection. Laufen will also be showcasing the latest additions to bathroom range VAL, designed by Konstantin Grcic and presenting new pieces, including a show stopping, circular, free-standing bathtub and a complete brassware range. In addition, Laufen’s innovative new shower toilet Cleanet Riva will also be on display. A premium WC with intuitive and sophisticated shower functions, Cleanet RIVA combines supreme luxury with perfect hygiene, offering unparalleled design, combined with easy-to-use technology. Cleanet RIVA has already won several high-profile international awards for its striking design by Swiss designer Peter Wirz.

Which brands/stands are The Roca Group looking forward to checking out at KBB this year and why?
We’re looking forward to seeing the show as a whole. It’s always great to look around and see what other manufacturers are bringing to market and how they are adapting to current trends. There is also an interesting conference programme and its always useful to sit in on the talks to discuss topics and issues within our industry.

How excited are team Roca to be exhibiting at KBB Birmingham this year?
We are delighted to be back at KBB again this year. The Roca Group has been developing a number of new products over the last year and we are excited to be launching them at KBB. A vast number of our customers visit the show and it is a great opportunity for us to showcase our new ranges. The show is a fantastic networking opportunity to meet both existing and new customers and we’re looking forward to meeting them in the suite.
How has the Roca Group noticed the industry evolve over the years?
The Roca Group reached a significant milestone last year and celebrated its 100th anniversary, this made us look to the past and the future of bathroom design. A vast amount has changed in just the last few years, when it comes to bathroom design. Consumers have a greater understanding of what the bathroom space is to them and require a combination of great design, comfort and integrated technology. We see technology as an important feature that continues to develop over the next few years, it is going to become more integrated into the home and the bathroom space.

What makes the Roca Group stand out from other competitors?
There are many elements that make Roca stand out. I think our heritage is a key one, we’ve been developing bathroom products for many years and over that time we have built gained extensive knowledge of the bathroom industry. We also invest heavily in the research and development of our products as well as using the very latest manufacturing techniques. However, it is not just about our products, it’s also about the service we offer our customers. We consistently ensure we provide them with all the information they need to build and grow their business, whether that is marketing tools, sales support or training, we are there for them every step of the way.

Why should people stop by the Roca Group stand next week?
Not only will people be able to see our exciting new products but they’ll also be able to meet with our team who are not just experts on Roca but on the industry as a whole. They will be on hand to offer their wide-ranging knowledge and expertise.
What advice do you have for brands who will be experiencing their first KBB exhibition?
Kbb is a hub for the kitchen & bathroom industry so make sure you get out onto the show floor, see the latest trends and innovative product solutions. The bathroom space is changing rapidly and there is so much going on, it’s an exciting time to be working in this industry.
