In his new position as Commercial Director, Chater will assume responsibility for British Ceramic Tile’s sales, marketing, design and product development departments, with a focus on driving forward the company’s portfolio and brand across all markets.
Chater has 20 years of experience working with large branded food businesses including Coca-Cola, Refresco and Tulip. He joins British Ceramic Tile from one of the UK’s fastest growing businesses, Musclefood, an e-Commerce operation, where he expanded the brand into the competitive retail and wholesale channels. British Ceramic Tile’s Chief Executive, Tony Taylor, said, “John comes from the food industry and brings considerable expertise that will complement our existing skill set as we continue to grow our brand in 2018.”
