Leading household appliance manufacturer, Hoover, has appointed the experienced marketer, Phillip Jones, within its small domestic appliance marketing team in Merthyr Tydfil, Wales.
Jones is said to bring more than 16 years’ experience with him, having previously held marketing and category management roles at PC world and Paddy Power.
Hoover has stated Jones will have “overall management of the SDA brand execution across all customer-facing media, including above the line, in store, PR, online and social media. Phillip will be responsible for driving innovation through the floorcare, ironing, and steam cleaning product ranges.”
Speaking on his appointment, Jones stated “Hoover floorcare products have an incredible heritage, so much so that people use the brand name day in, day out, when they talk about vacuuming their home.
“It’s an exciting time for Hoover, especially as it continues with its 20:20 Vision and ambition to become the ‘supplier of choice’. I’m really looking forward to implementing the plans we have in the pipeline.”
Valentino Ricioppo, head of sales and marketing at Hoover Limited, added “Phillip has a wealth of relevant and transferable experience, most latterly in his position of brand marketing manager. He also understands the many routes to market that our products are available through, so we’re pleased to have him on board.”
