Zip Water UK employee, Hannah Sherwin, raises over £3,800 in the Virgin London Marathon

Hannah Sherwin, marketing assistant at Zip Water UK has raised over £3,800 after completing the London Marathon.

Running on behalf of King’s College Hospital, where Hannah’s mum received a kidney and liver transplant back in September 2015, the Zip Water employee managed to complete the gruelling 26.2 mile race in 4 hours 43 minutes and 12 seconds.

Commenting on her fantastic achievement, Hannah remarked “I’ve never been much of a runner, however, after watching some friends and family run the London Marathon last year, I decided to set myself the same challenge.”

She continues, “I wanted to show my support by raising money for all the staff that looked after my mum during the six weeks she spent in hospital for her transplant and to support the research and facilities for the renal department.”

King’s Renal Unit provides a full range of care for people suffering from kidney disease, including supporting their patients in providing a full pre-kidney transplant service with advice from counsellors and dieticians.
