Whirlpool UK donates cooling appliances to Channel 4’s ‘A Place in the Sun’ TV host

Hotpoint and Indesit, sub-brands of Whirlpool UK Appliances, have provided two fridges and a freezer to a café owned by Laura Hamilton, best known for presenting Channel 4’s ‘A Place in the Sun’.

Hotpoint provided two of its undercounter freestanding fridges, the RLA36G in a modern graphite finish, to the presenter and her husband Alex Goward for the couple’s recently reinstated Post Office in Upper Woodcote Village, Purley.

Indesit also donated one of its UIAA 12 S (UK).1 freezer models in silver. Ideal for locking in flavour, the product benefits from SuperFreeze, a function that lowers the temperature to its lowest value for a short period of time in order to preserve the food’s original qualities.

Ian Moverly, brand communications director for Whirlpool UK Appliances, stated “We are really pleased to have been able to help with Laura Hamilton’s renovation project. It’s great to see that providing the Hotpoint and Indesit appliances really helped to complete the café on time. Whirlpool UK Appliances is proud to be a part in helping bring the community together in Purley.”

Laura Hamilton then added, “Thankfully we managed to get everything ready and in place for our grand opening on 10th April. We are very grateful to Hotpoint and Indesit for delivering the fridges and freezer so quickly.”
