Team Hoover gears up for a mammoth 1,200km charity cycle ride across sunny France!

Two directors from the leading kitchen appliance manufacturer, Hoover, are gearing up for a huge 1,200km charity bike ride across France.

Aiming to raise around £2,000 for two fantastic local causes, Hoover’s freestanding appliance marketing director and sales director (Steve Macdonald and Kevin Finn) will together tackle The Veloddyssey Cycle on behalf of St. John’s Hospice in Wirral and Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital in Crumlin.

Consisting of a 745 mile cycle route along the Atlantic coast, the ride is the equivalent to 70,000 of the manufacturer’s new tall larder fridge-freezers laid end-to-end!

Commenting on the importance of these charities, Steve Macdonald stated “Last year I participated in the London to Paris cycle with the Wirral Hospice St. John’s team. After becoming so in-tune with the charity and team, I decided I simply couldn’t stand by and not make a contribution again in 2017.”

Kevin Finn added “My funds will contribute towards a much needed piece of medical machinery that’s used for young patients undergoing spinal and neurosurgery procedures. My work is part of a bigger fundraising effort by my friends in memory of their son, so it’s an issue close to home for me.”

Steve and Kevin will begin their journey at Roscoff in North-West France on 1 June 2017 and will finish in Biarritz, South-West France.
