Step into the future with Aran Cucine’s new futuristic Met kitchen design

A huge topic of concentration in the kitchen design sector currently is the future; with technology and design rapidly developing, what could designers possibly do for the future of kitchens that hasn’t already been seen?

Aran Cucine’s latest launch concisely answers this question – the Met collection, Aran Cucine’s answer to the metropolitan future kitchen presents an entirely flexible solution to kitchen furniture. Able to move, transform and adapt to contemporary lifestyles, the Met design boasts a fully functioning kitchen that is able to neatly hide within a simple, yet stylish island. The island itself appears purely as a furniture piece until, from its far side, a stainless steel-clad kitchen counter extends from within the wooden body. This functional counter space features an integrated induction hob, sink, mixer tap and downdraft extractor – providing the perfect solution for the entertainment-loving homeowner.

The extractor and mixer tap are both retractable, allowing them to sit seamlessly within the surface of the extendable kitchen. Practically, in-built safety sensors check that there aren’t objects that can prevent the closure of the extendable kitchen unit and immediately stop the process if it incurs an obstacle. The notion of Met stems from the growing popularity of open-plan living-room-style kitchen designs that work both as a space for dining, relaxing and entertaining as well as a functional cooking and preparation space. The Met design provides all the necessary practicalities without sacrificing space or style – providing a truly innovative kitchen solution and a unique look toward the future of kitchen design.
