Roca’s One Day Design Challenge comes to the UK, celebrating the latest promising talents

Roca’s internationally acclaimed One Day Design Challenge is coming to the UK this year for the first time in its history. The exciting event, commencing on Saturday 17th June, invites young up-and-coming designers to showcase their creative talents and innovative concepts for all bathroom-related spaces.

“The One Day Design Challenge will also take place in Lisbon, Madrid and Barcelona, Russia, UAE, Oman, Shangai, Hong Kong, but this year is the first opportunity for the UK design community to show what they can do,” says Alan Dodds, Roca UK’s Managing Director. “This intense day of competition supports and engages emerging designers in the communal drive to improve the bathroom experience. Roca encourages all contestants to be bold in demonstrating their innovation, creativity and design intelligence. We’re looking forward to an exhilarating day of competition.”

Roca’s competition is open to students or young professionals aged between 18 and 29 years old; who can be studying or working within a related design, architecture or product design field. Participants may also take part as individuals or in groups of two or three. These entries will be judged on their creativity, originality and viability, as well as the clarity and graphic design of the showcase presentations, while the overall winner will receive a £1,000 prize.

The One Day Design Challenge jury will be announced shortly, and registrations for the competition will be open until Wednesday 14th June 2017.
