Nominations officially open for Tile Trader’s ‘Tiling for a Good Cause’ campaign

‘Tiling for a Good Cause’ a nationwide initiative launched by online tile retailer, Tile Trader, is urging members of the public to nominate a space in their local area in need of a top-to-toe tiling makeover.

The initiative is designed to give one deserving facility the chance to receive a tiling transformation worth up to £500 to update a lacklustre space in need of a complete makeover. Nominations can range from creating a friendlier bathroom at a local care home, crafting a fun mural for a sensory garden within a community centre, or adding on-trend tiles to update a kitchen area at a local sports club. ‘Tiling for a Good Cause’ is open to everyone; members of the public are asked to submit a short, written description detailing how they would like the nominated space to be transformed with new tiles. Entries must also be accompanied by a photograph or video to illustrate the current look of the nominated space. Applications can be made between Wednesday 18th October 2017 and Wednesday 15th November 2017, after which, the nominated entries will put to a public online vote, open 15th November 2017 – 29th November 2017. The winning facility will receive new Tile Trader tiles and accompanying tiling materials, worth up to £500. The prize does not include installation.

Peter Swain from Tile Trader said, “With minimum budget, local spaces are all too often left untouched or neglected. We wanted to inject life into a deserving community project or initiative using tiles – a material often used to revamp smaller spaces in need of a makeover. We encourage the people of the UK to nominate a worthy space. We look forward to reading through all the nominations!”
