Moores have provided a cherished village hall with a brand-new kitchen in New Ash Green, Sevenoaks.
Moores worked closely with house builder Bovis Homes on designing and supplying a free-of-charge kitchen to commemorate 50 years since Bovis Homes built the hall and many of the homes in the Kent village as part of an innovative design project in 1967. The original kitchen, which remained untouched since 1975, was increasingly falling into a state of disrepair and could no longer meet the needs of the growing community. The new facilities, which have been extended to almost twice the size, include a brand-new oven and grill, floor, sink and utility area. Moores specified the Minoco Kitchen in a sleek white design with a Galaxy Black worktop to help the space seem even bigger and ensure there is enough room to house the integrated appliances.
David Harris, Bovis Homes Key Account Manager at Moores, comments “The original hall kitchen was no longer able to cope with the demands of a growing village and its activities. We were able to bring the kitchen into the 21st century and are delighted to see the success of the facilities within the community, helping to once again reinstate the hall as the hub of the village.”
Pat Kirtley, Administrator of New Ash Green Village Association said: “We’re extremely grateful to Bovis Homes and Moores for their generosity. The new kitchen is a huge improvement and will bring real benefit to all the local people who use the Hall. It’s nice to think that 50 years after it first donated the hall to the residents of our village, Bovis Homes, and now with help from Moores, has once again made a wonderful contribution to the community.”Moores | moores.co.uk
