Maurizio Pellizzoni transforms Talisman’s showroom into a designer house for LDF 2017

The ‘Designed at Talisman’ project will see top international designer Maurizio Pellizzoni transform Talisman’s New Kings Road showroom into a designer house as part of this year’s London Design Festival.

When taking on the challenge to craft a unique bathroom suite for the popular showroom, Pellizzoni knew the design had to epitomise luxury and present a truly unique aesthetic. Selecting a few of the newest pieces from Drummonds delightful bathroom collections, Pellizzoni combined these with timelessly decadent design by Talisman London to craft a space which appears more akin to a treasure trove than a showroom. The designer’s vision for the bathroom suite was originally inspired by the luxurious interior of Bel Air-based mansions, where rich colours, materials and stones clad every inch of wall.

Pellizzoni began with a simple monochromatic floor, hand-painted in a quirky zigzag pattern, which still allowed the natural imperfections of the original wooden floor to shine through. Standing centre stage, Pellizzoni selected a statement freestanding Drummonds bath in an electrifying pink, while brassware and metallic details in a polished chrome finish are scattered throughout the room, adding a rich, luxurious and opulent tone. A feature wall decorated with textured palm-leaf-print wallpaper from Cole & Son frames the freestanding bath and adds another dimension of colour and shape to space.

An elegant selection of Talisman furniture was chosen to finish the scheme and boasts antique brass sections that enhance the shimmering treasure-trove-like ambience. Sprinkled with The White Company accessories and a dramatic Birds of Paradise plant from Architectural Plants, the end result is something that reflects the design attributes of both Drummonds and Talisman, while equally epitomising Maurizio Pellizzoni’s unique design ethos.
