SMEG, one of the largest Italian home appliance companies are celebrating their Victoria range hitting its fifth anniversary this year.
The Victoria range, known for its superb quality, retro styling and unique colours, was launched to coincide with the celebration of Queen Elizabeth II’s Diamond Jubilee in 2012 and it draws inspiration from Smeg’s earliest range cooker that was designed in 1956.
The range includes traditional multifunction double, single and compact ovens featuring a variety of cooking functions, spacious capacity, soft close doors and digital controls.
The earliest range cooker Smeg released was the Elisabeth cooker, which at the time was revolutionary to its era. Fast forward almost 50 years and the Victoria represents many of the hallmarks of the classic Elisabeth cooker. ‘Passionate about tradition’ and singled out for its instantly identifiable look and feel, Victoria’s sturdy, award winning build quality, and easy to use features have become instantly recognised and admired as a classic British throwback.
Now available in 60cm, 90cm, 100cm and 110cm lengths, choose gas or induction hob tops, a size and oven format to suit you and your kitchen, along with a selection of classic colour-ways including cream, black, white and stainless steel.
SMEG have continued to have a long and successful career producing some eye catching products. Vittorio Bertazzoni founded the Smeg company in 1948 in the town of Guastalla, Italy. The name is an acronym for Smalterie Metallurgiche Emiliane Guastalla (“Emilian metallurgical enamel works of Guastalla”). Today the company still remains in the private ownership of the Bertazzoni family with its headquarters still in Guastalla, Italy.Smeg | smeguk.com
