The UKHarvest’s first ever CEO CookOff event saw some of the UK’s top business leaders team up with the nations best chefs for a day of fundraising and food awareness.
Taking place on Tuesday 21 March at the Old Billingsgate Market, Hotpoint’s managing director Maurizio Pettorino, sales director Jim McEwan, and commercial director Nick Hughes all donned their gingham aprons to raise money for UKHarvest and Jamie Oliver’s Food Revolution.
Using Hotpoint’s best appliances, which were all donated to schools and children’s charities after the event, the day saw CEOs team up with some of the nations best culinary minds to rustle up a banquet for hundreds of everyday heroes – making sure that any leftover meals were donated and no food was wasted.
Speaking on behalf of Hotpoint, managing director Maurizio Pettorino remarked “It has been a pleasure to participate in the first ever CEO CookOff event. There are many issues surrounding food education and waste here in the UK and we are very proud to raise money for such an important cause.”
Jamie Oliver added “It’s absolutely brilliant to see what big businesses and chefs can achieve when we all get together, roll up our sleeves, and not only cook some delicious grub for our everyday heroes but also raise money for the bigger issues around food education and waste.”
