Gorenje took to the road to attend last weekend’s Camper Jam festival in Shropshire

Since having launched its special edition retro fridge, inspired by the classic shapes of VW camper vans, kitchen appliance manufacturer Gorenje found a fitting place to showcase the new design: at this year’s Camper Jam festival in sunny Shropshire.

The Volkswagen-inspired model is available in an optional Baby Blue or Bordeaux colour finish. This truly unique design certainly turned heads at the event, even amongst the fun frolics of cover bands UK Foo Fighters and Hey Beatles.

With an individual exterior, colourful finish and highest achievable energy efficiency rating of A+++, this funky fridge will make the perfect addition to any boho-chic-style family kitchen.

Stuart Benson, sales director at Gorenje UK, said: “Volkswagen is one of the strongest brands in the world and we’ve really stepped up a gear with this partnership. We’ve been overwhelmed with the levels of interest on this product, not just from the festival, but we’ve also received enquiries from Spain and Japan, so enquiries have really accelerated.

“As the producer of the original retro refrigerator, we could think of no better way to complement our product than with the beloved and iconic VW campervan and are excitedly looking forward to seeing how we can drive sales with this unique addition to our range.”

Inspired by the fridge’s recent success, Gorenje have decided to also showcase the model at the upcoming VW festival in Leeds this August.
