Gaggenau extends its global reach by launching luxury appliances into the Indian market

Luxury appliance manufacturer, Gaggenau – a subsidiary of BSH Hausgeräte GmbH since 1995 – has added another country to its global portfolio: India. The brand was warmly welcomed into the market with a celebratory event held in Mumbai earlier this month.

Gaggenau has previously been responsible for the development and introduction of many products including the recessed ventilation system, that extracts steam downwards; the first 90cm-wide stainless steel household oven; the glass-ceramic electric hob with variable cooking zone utilization and sensor operation, and the super-flat, exceptionally quiet extractor hood. The brand, which is currently represented in more than 50 countries, is going to be launched in multiple cities throughout India in 2018.

Speaking of the launch, Mr. Gunjan Srivastava, MD & CEO, BSH Household Appliances Manufacturing Pvt. Ltd. said, “After the tremendous success of our dual brand strategy with Bosch and Siemens, we now bring a third brand, Gaggenau, to the country. Gaggenau caters to extremely high-end customers who believe that appliances are functional art that fit into the lifestyle of the discerning and cultured individual.”
