Franke has announced the winner of their More in Store competition. The competition was set up to find a candidate to study the Foundation Degree in Kitchen Design at Bucks New University.
The selected candidate benefits from a 50% scholarship from Franke for the duration of the three-year distance learning degree which is being backed by the kitchen industry through the formation of The Kitchen Education Trust (TKET), which helps shape the course content covering design, sales, marketing, business, production, installation, psychology and an understanding of related design industries.
The winner is Natalie Peters, who works for her family’s business Kitchens Etc based in North Creake, Norfolk which has been established for over 30 years and specialises in bespoke kitchen furniture. Natalie joined the business straight from school and has gained wide experience across a range of roles.
Winner of the scholarship Natalie says,
“I have been involved with our family business since I was a small child earning pocket money at the weekends. Over the years I have widened my experience in many areas of it and also studied interior design. When I saw the opportunity to do a formal qualification with the help from Franke, I jumped at it. I have wanted to move more fully into the role of a kitchen designer, working alongside my father, and the degree course offers fantastic scope for learning and interaction with respected industry experts.”
Neil Clark, Managing Director at Franke says,
“We recognise that The Kitchen Education Trust are making a real difference to our industry and are delighted to offer this sponsorship opportunity as part of our commitment to improved professionalism within the industry, and to our More in Store initiative. Natalie’s application shone with passion and enthusiasm and we are delighted to be supporting her career development.”More in Store | moreinstore.co.uk
