Founded in 1981, Falmec has since evolved from a small manufacturing company to a leading force both in the national and international market. The premium Italian extractor brand, Falmec has continued to support GT driver Andrea Fontana for another year and renewed their partnership for the 2017 season of the International GT Open.
The International GT Open is one of the top pro-am racing platforms in Europe. The tourer-style sports car racing series is held in multiple countries and has a media value of over €60 million.
Racing a stunning green coloured Lamborghini Huracàn Gt3 for the Imperiale Racing Team, Andrea Fontana, who is only 21, from Belluno in Northern Italy finished in an excellent third place out of 25 drivers during the fourth calendar race of the championship, which took place in early July in Hungary. Andrea Fontana and Falmec have been partners since 2016, dating to the Word Final race of the Lamborghini Super Trophy Championship, where the driver earned the winner’s spot.
Speaking about the renewal Fontana said:
“Being supported by both a locally and internationally successful organization such as Falmec is an honour for me, I must heartfully thank Falmec founder Danilo Poser and his sons, Andrea and Lorenzo, together with his brother Maurizio, for letting me be part of their family, and giving me the opportunity to follow this project, which was my dream since I was 7. I was just a kid then, but I already had my future in mind. I went through countless sacrifices to get to where I am now, but I am ready to do just as much, always with a smile on my face, to bring me and my partners on the top of the world again, just as we did last year in Valencia, where we partied under the podium. It’s been a pleasure sharing the most amazing memories of my racing career with them, and I’m sure we’re going to make a lot more together!”Falmec | falmec.co.uk
