In a quest to strengthen their position in the European market, furnishing manufacturer Vivonio Furniture GmbH have acquired the Dutch wardrobe manufacturer ‘Noteborn’.
Founded in 1983, the Dutch company Noteborn has grown over the decades to become a highly professional manufacturer of bespoke wardrobe systems, employing around 70 members of staff. However, after generating a turn over of around €11 million in 2016, Noteborn sought to expand its position in the German, Austrian and Swiss specialist furniture retail market.
Seeking an appropriate partner to begin this journey with, managing director Norman Noteborn stated “We have decided on Vivonio Holding as a strong partner of mid-sized businesses. We are confident we can achieve the growth objectives we have been aspiring to significantly faster under the umbrella of the Vivonio Group.”
Speaking on behalf of the Equistone management team – the majority shareholders in Vivonio – senior partner Michael H.Bork remarked “With this acquisition, we are taking another step forward towards participating more actively in the consolidation process of the industry.”
