Sinuous designs reign supreme at Fantini’s debut North American design awards

Fantini, a family run Italian design company in Pella, Italy held its first annual North American design awards last year. It announced six winning projects, all thematically focused on water, an underlying theme in the company, whose headquarters is situated by Lake Orta, Italy. The winners – selected by judges Stefana Giussani, CEO Lissoni Inc; DJ Carey, Editorial Director Cottages and Gardens Media; and Rebecca Thienes, Senior Interior Design Magazine – had the opportunity to visit the newly renovated Fantini headquarters in Pella overlooking Lake Orta, on a four-day all-expenses-paid trip last October.

The six winning designs of the awards are as follows; ‘Penthouse on the water’ by Adam Becker of Vancouver, ‘Canada’ which incorporated mirrors into the three bathrooms, to reflect the water views of the location; ‘Ocean Vista’; ‘Gold Coast Luxury’ by Chicago-based Centaur Interiors, which featured marble and black crystal handles; ‘Greenwich Village Loft’ by New York based Robert Kahn Architecture and featuring floor-to-ceiling African teak; ‘The Ultimate Bachelor Pad’ Montreal’s La Firme which used glass panels as separators to keep an open atmosphere; and ‘San Francisco Treat’ by Designer and Creative Director of Nicole Hollis, Marie Daskalas.
