The Kitchen Education Trust has announced that Matt Podesta and Hayley Tarrington Robson will now be tutoring on the Foundation Degree in Kitchen Design at Bucks New University, with Tony Robson (pictured with Hayley Tarrington Robson) helping in sales and marketing.
Matt Podesta, from the award-winning Podesta design house, joins at Head of Design for First Year. As a design graduate himself, he knows first hand about the value of high quality tutoring on a degree course!
Commenting on his new position, Matt remarked “Becoming a tutor on the course is a great honour and I particularly look forward to instilling students with confidence and bringing a greater awareness of what we are all capable of.
“Having a formal qualification will make a huge difference to our industry and over time I see it being an essential passport to success.”
Additionally, Hayley Tarrington Robson joins Matt as the new Head of Design for Second Year – representing the Bucks New University Alumni! Commenting on her introduction, Hayley stated “Having spent a day with the team and students experiencing what the course has to offer and seeing examples of what they produce, I am delighted to be invited to be a part of the team.
“I was so impressed with every aspect that the course covers, from start to finish. I have no doubt that it will help to elevate not only the role of the designer but the kitchen industry as a whole.”
The final course addition comes in the form of Tony Robson, managing director of Day True. Holding what is described as “an unrivalled knowledge of products, gained from 20 years working at industry stalwarts in a variety of roles”, Tony will be assisting the sales and marketing areas of the course in the aim of promoting the course in the best way possible.
