BiKBBI announces a not-for-profit insurance service supporting the kitchen and bathroom industry

At a recent stakeholder event, focused on the BiKBBI’s development last year – including its new sponsorship deal with Hafele, a new KBB apprenticeship for installers and the launch of its own centre of excellence in September – the BiKBBI also announced a new insurance service.

In conjunction with United Insurance Brokers (UIB), BiKBBI Insurance Services will provide a wide range of robust commercial insurance products to the KBB industry, on a not-for-profit basis. BiKBBI Chief Executive Damian Walters, announced the launch of the new insurance service, in what he called “another milestone moment” for the organisation. BiKBBI Insurance Services will offer a discount to its members, but is also available to the wider KBB industry.

Speaking to delegates at BiKBBI’s stakeholder event in London today, CEO Damian Walters said: “Insurance is an important ingredient for any business operating in the sector and as an organisation; we have been disappointed by some of the policies presented to us. Clearly some of these policies were driven by low price, but were lacking in the critical area of protection for both the tradesperson and their customers. Our policies will offer the right level of protection at competitive prices and once again, we provide this on a not-for-profit basis, passing on any cost savings directly to our members.”
