Beko announce a healthy eating initiative in association with FC Barcelona at IFA

Beko has announced a new way to beat the rising issue of childhood obesity with the help of Barcelona football club.


The new launch, which was announced today at IFA is called ‘Eat Like a Pro’ and comes with the support from FC Barcelona. It is aimed at raising awareness of the rapidly growing rates of childhood obesity around the world. The campaign aims to tackle the issue by empowering and helping parents globally on the importance of healthy eating whilst encouraging children to emulate their FC Barcelona heroes and ‘Eat Like a Pro’.

Ella Mills AKA Deliciously Ella and FC Barcelona football legend Patrick Kluivert joined Beko at IFA for the campaign announcement, showing their support whilst sharing their expertise and tips on healthy living.  The full campaign will be rolled out globally from January 2018, and will engage with families, schools, communities and homes around the world to rethink their food choices.

FC Barcelona legend Patrick Kluivert said, “For me to play at the top of my game for more than 15 years, healthy eating and nutrition was so important to me. I have passed all of this down to my children today and the Beko global initiative of Eat Like A Pro can inspire families and children all around the world to eat healthier food.”


The campaign also aims to grant families exclusive access to the eating habits of the team’s finest players via not only the ‘Eat Like A Pro’ recipe book, featuring exclusive recipes by FC Barcelona nutritionist Dra. Ma Antonia Lizárraga Dallo and Ella Mills, but also through the ‘Eat Like A Pro’ website


Ella Mills comments “It’s great to be part of this initiative for which I have created a number of recipes that I’m thrilled to share, which show that healthy eating is easy and needn’t mean compromising on taste! I’m excited about being part of a campaign that aims to reach families worldwide on the issue of childhood obesity, and with the support of Beko and FC Barcelona I hope that we can really make a difference by showing how delicious healthy eating and good nutrition is key to fighting this worrying global epidemic.”
