Bathroom and Kitchen specialists GROHE return as the WAF’s 2016 headline sponsor

Bathroom and kitchen solutions specialists GROHE was the headline sponsor of this year’s World Architecture Festival (WAF), the largest gathering of the international architecture community and the biggest architectural competition in the world.

As the headline sponsor of this year’s festival, GROHE supported the event for the eighth consecutive year and presented the top prize ‘World Building of the Year’. At the Festival held in Berlin earlier this month, GROHE also unveiled its latest innovations, including the newly designed GROHE Essence mixer range which is now available in ten possible combinations of colours and finishes.

GROHE’s Sensia range of shower toilets was also on display, as was the GROHE Red hot water tap and the new GROHE Blue Home which dispenses filtered and chilled still, sparkling and semi-sparkling water on demand.


As in previous years, GROHE sponsored the ‘World Building of the Year Award’ which was presented by GROHE CEO Michael Rauterkus. This year’s winner was the National Museum in Szczecin – The Dialogue Centre Upheavals, Poland, designed by Robert Konieczny from KWK Promes studio.
