Astro Lighting relocates to new Harlow HQ to increase the company’s transport accessibility

Astro has a new home – an inspiring, dynamic environment to take this creative British lighting business forward.

86,000-sq ft of highly-efficient product handling and office space sets up Astro for its next phase of growth. With the design and prototyping department, photographic studio, showroom, warehousing and despatch all under one roof, The Astro Building is purpose-built to bring Astro’s distinct design language from Harlow to the world.

And the growing team at Astro now enjoy an interior which reflects and nurtures the company’s design-led approach and brand values. A short distance from the Astro’s former premises, the new headquarters has excellent links to the road and rail networks and is only 15 miles from Stansted Airport.

In less than 20 years, Astro has travelled from a home-based start up to a £20 million concern doing business with some 70 countries around the world. Its founders John Fearon and James Bassant, chairman and design director respectively, remain at the heart of the business.

Astro has achieved consistent, strong growth since its launch in 1997, thanks it says to its insistence on only the highest levels of design, quality and customer service. Clearly it hopes this new facility will help it continue on this path.
