Luxury British bathing brand Victoria + Albert Baths have unveiled an exclusive collaboration with mosaic artist Orodè Deoro, which will be available to view in their London showroom from September.
Titled “Light My Fire”, the collaboration with Italian mosaic artist Orodè Deoro is created using a special mosaic technique. “Light My Fire” offers a unique take on Victoria + Albert’s Shropshire bath tub. The design was created with hand-clipped tiles, cut with an obsessive attention to detail. Enhanced by characteristic black joins, interlocking tiles and numerous symbols, “Light My Fire” tells a unique love story. The artist does not reveal the plot, leaving the audience the pleasure of exploring it’s many motifs and symbols for themselves, including; a unicorn, lion, and an orb, along with a range of floral designs. The bath will be on show in the Chelsea Harbour Design Centre from September through to December 2017.
Orodè Deoro is an Italian painter and mosaicist, internationally recognised for original mosaic works, made with ceramic, stones, mirrors, painting and other materials. Renowned for its collection of inspirational designs, crafted from its unique Volcanic Limestone™ material, QUARRYCAST®, Victoria + Albert Baths’ showroom features a range of lifestyle displays, including a range of modern and traditional baths. The displays also include furniture, accessories and brassware in a variety of finishes.
Speaking of the collaboration, Jonathan Carter, marketing director at Victoria + Albert Baths says, “Working with Orodè was a unique experience for us. It’s been exciting to see one of our baths come to life as a piece of art. The contoured mosaic design changes on each surface of the bath, inviting the viewer to explore the design in more detail. It’s an incredibly intricate one-off piece that would look fabulous in a dramatic bathroom”Victoria + Albert Baths | vandabaths.com/en/europe/
