Two integral names in the design sector: THG Paris and Timothy Corrigan, have collaborated for another addition to the THG Corrigan line: the Grand Central mixer tap range. Corrigan is known for his unique design philosophy that combines elegant European styling with smooth Californian comfort; and this line draws inspiration from the era of elegance: the roaring 20’s, specifically the era’s jewellery designs from Tiffany’s, Cartier and Christofle.
These strong influences are immediately evident when looking at the Grand Central collection. The mixer taps’ fluted metalwork, which fully encircles the spout and handles, creates a shapely aesthetic that is reminiscent of the decadent 1920’s, while cleverly reflecting the exterior columns of New York’s famous Grand Central Station – giving the collection its indicative name. To add an extra touch of luxury black or white onyx inlays top each handle, while belted waists give the pieces a certain architectural charm – again reflecting the collection’s namesake building.
The THG Corrigan line is available in a wide variety configurations, suited to basins, bathtubs and shower systems – allowing the homeowner a fully cohesive aesthetic.
