Combining sleek designs and tactile timbers, the new collection of wooden basins from Indigenous offers a very different option for the bathroom.
Each characterful creation is crafted from a robust slab of timber, with a gently sloping ‘wave-like’ bowl hollowed out of the centre. The collection includes five individual designs, in shades spanning from a rich mahogany tone to a pale, lime-washed finish.
The solid ash beams, used to craft the basins, are each dried or ‘seasoned’ for between 9 to 12 months. The blocks are then hollowed out, polished and treated with eight individual layers of finish, which waterproofs the top, sides and underneath of the basins. Designs span from neat single bowls to capacious double-winged formats, varying in length from 500mm to 1500mm. All designs are wall-hung to create a ‘floating’ effect and can be positioned with matching furniture to sit underneath or to one side.Indigenous | indigenous.co.uk
