Leading tile supplier Céramique Internationale has launched a new collection of classic French Limestone-style large format tiles: Gris Fleury.
The Gris Fleury, or ‘flowery grey’, collection of porcelain tiles perfectly replicate the timeless French limestone effect with a very natural look, a subtly varying background, and a delicate texture. The digital printing shows off tiny seashells and calcium deposits, while the lack of repeating patterns creates true realism. Available in three colours – Bianco, Grigio and Nero – Gris Fleury is stocked in two large rectified slab formats of 750x750cm and 600x1200cm.
“Large format tiles are very much on trend and look sumptuous on bathroom walls in particular, giving a feeling of space in smaller rooms – plus fewer grout joints also mean easier maintenance,” says Peter Vann, Director of Ceramique Internationale.
The collection also caters for the growing indoor-outdoor trend, with a 600×600, 2cm thick version of the tile – suitable for extending kitchens into al-fresco dining areas. These 2cm thick tiles come with an R11 A+B anti-slip rating, which makes them safer for outdoor areas that can be affected by the weather. “Continuing a flow from indoors to an outdoor area is popular and the safety aspect of these, in particular, make them perfect for a typical wet English BBQ!” says Vann. Unlike typical outdoor tiles made from stone, these porcelain tiles are immune to colour fading and freeze-cracking; the surface doesn’t require sealing, and maintenance is extremely simple.
Ceramique Internationale also caters to retailers by supplying a compact floor-standing rack which demonstrates all colours in both sizes. Vann says, “We expect this collection to be very popular as it offers a much-loved traditional look in a much more practical format.”
