Christmas and New Year are over, annual holidays have been booked, and everyone seems to be suffering with a bit of February funk. But never fear as Pete Sherry, category manager for LochAnna kitchens, has given us the low-down on what kitchen design treats lie in store this year.
According the Pete, the overall linear look is set to remain incredibly popular in 2017. Plain and handle-less doors in grey or neutral earthy hues will be at the forefront of simple and modern kitchen designs. Additionally, traditional grained timber and timber-effect materials look set to increase in popularity, tells Pete, particularly within natural wood tones.
When it comes to painted doors, the trends look set to stay amongst grey and neutral tones. However, 2017 gives homeowners the opportunity to get creative with their ironmongery. Coppers and textured metallics will lead the way with cabinet doors, forcing us to say goodbye to conventional stainless steel and black pull handles.
So, if European kitchen design is on your mind this year, try to focus on neutral colouring, warm woods and metallic accessories to ensure your new kitchen is a 2017 trend hit.
