This Amberley kitchen, from Daval, shows how simple, neutral colours can look ultra sophisticated

Kitchen designer and manufacturer Daval has transcended the times with its stylish Amberley kitchen. Shown here in a striking combination of neutral Dove Grey and Lead grey-green, the traditionally in-frame kitchen is given a cool, contemporary edge.

The Shaker-style cabinetry, though fitted, is given a clever freestanding look, which adds the contemporary effect, while the high-quality raised and fielded doors – which are crafted from sustainably sourced solid timber – ensure the kitchen is practical and hardwearing, as well as aesthetically striking. The Lead island unit is bang on trend, appealing to fans of the country kitchen look while leaning toward a dark grey palette, which trend experts have predicted will be making a huge hit in 2018. Additionally, the island is dovetailed by a highly practical pot board with a deep solid oak countertop – ideal for creating quirky display storage and additional surface to prepare food. You can even add a stylish twist to the Amberley kitchen with curved or open feature units in the same style and finish.

Amberley is available in Natural Oak, alongside 18 hand-painted colour finishes, ranging from the calm and cool Alabaster white to pretty Heather blues and a vibrant Putty green.
