Victoria + Albert’s new Solo collection tests the limits of its QUARRYCAST® material

Designed by duo, Meneghello Paelelli Associati, and crafted using the brand’s exclusive QUARRYCAST® material, Victoria + Albert’s ultra-sleek new Lario 100 and Mandello 114 Solo recessed basins have certainly set the company off on a good foot for 2018.

The Lario 100 Solo, which takes it design cues from traditional Victorian styles, features a subtle rim detail and a full-width tap deck, allowing brassware to be mounted straight on. While the more contemporary Madello 114 Solo boasts a unique contoured shape. Using the QUARRYCAST material, the designers moulded the basin in order for its interiors to appear akin to a raindrop as it touches the water’s surface. The Mandello – similarly to its sister design – also features a full-width tap deck.

Alongside allowing the creation of seamless, unique sanitaryware, QUARRYCAST’s blend of volcanic limestone and high-performance resins also ensures that Victoria + Albert’s products are easy to clean, scratch resistant, lightweight and surprisingly warm to the touch.
