Joining the trend – Wilsonart collaborates with lifestyle bloggers to get latest insights on trends

Wilsonart has been designing and developing decorative surfacing solutions for almost 60 years, using its signature materials – Gemstone, Earthstone and Laminate. Over the last two years, the company has worked with several high-profile bloggers, offering a discount on products in return for honest feedback and pictures of the surfaces in use in real homes.

The feedback has been highly valuable. Recently, lifestyle blogger Antonia Ludden (of #tidylife blog) was looking to create a coffee bar feel in her family home. She explained, “When you think of a trendy coffee bar it’s all reclaimed wood and metal tables, large windows, industrial pendant lights etc.  My original idea was to use scaffold boards to make a rustic counter top.  But practically, I was not sure if the surface would be a bit too rough and difficult to keep clean. So, I began a search for an authentic looking wood effect laminate and came across Wilsonart’s Mississippi Pine. This worktop is epic; it has all the texture and grain I was hoping for and is a lovely natural colour, too.  We opted for the matching upstand which gives a smart finish to the counter.”

Seeing this, consumers can get a better idea of how the product fits into a real setting, and whether it is right for them; creating a trinity of benefits for both Wilsonart, the bloggers, and the consumers.
