We’ve rounded up the most rambunctious colourful kitchen schemes, to inspire your inner artist

Whether it’s a simple colour accent or a bold all-encompassing approach, getting creative with colour can make all the difference to a kitchen scheme. We look at some of the many options…

The G78-E handleless kitchen, from German manufacturer Rotpunkt, features Power Matt Gold doors and a matching Power Gloss Gold island unit. This opulent duo is complemented by Sherwood-Manhattan textured Grey Oak used on the lower cabinetry and full-length cabinetry on the far right. The kitchen uses slab doors and a continuous square G78-E metal handle rail with black detailing to maintain a crisp, minimal and modern look. The G78-E kitchen is available in over 100 options of door colours and 50 individual rail colour options. Rotpunkt /

Corian’s modern kitchen scheme aligns to the current lean towards green – inspired by The Pantone Colour of the Year: Greenery. Rustic elements, such as the mottled, textured flooring and
raw wood ceiling beam add warmth to the contemporary design, handleless cabinetry and open shelving. Corian’s new Prima surface, in the Dune colouration, creates an artistic worktop and splashback for the kitchen – its marbled texture jarring against the matt finish of the cabinetry. Corian /

Poggenpohl’s vibrant green kitchen puts a glamorous twist on the colour trend. The high gloss finish, in combination with matt black lacquered appliances and polished stone worktops, presents a very contemporary aesthetic. The kitchen here is part of Poggenpohl’s new chrome plated high gloss collection. The range of lacquers features 14 various metallic shades, including Diamond White, Champagne Gold, Night Blue and Petrol Green. Poggenpohl /

The versatility of colour is displayed by this NX 500 kitchen by next125 (featured above). Unlike many schemes which employ colour in a very subtle way – mainly within the context
of accessories, coloured cabinetry edges or a singular colourful focus piece, this scheme employs an ultra- bold approach. The crisp, contemporary scheme blends a bright and summery yellow with a very industrially-styled kitchen island. The kitchen is crafted from a 87.5cm high carcass and TIP-ON handle- less doors, all in a Saffron Yellow, with a slim ceramic graphite worktop. The kitchen is also available in a further 26 colourful satin lacquer finishes, including Polar white and Lava black. InHouse Inspired Room Design /
