We take a closer look at Elisa Ossino’s Elementi bathroom design for Boffi

Launched in Milan earlier this year, Elementi has been designed by Elisa Ossino for Italian manufacturer Boffi. The bathroom system is characterised by an opening system with coplanar sliding doors, enhanced with a wide choice of element, material, colour and finish combinations.

Ossino has devised the system along a horizontal line, with inserted elements treated as individual geometric components. Research into different materials ensured that proportion and balance is maintained, along with a general lightness to the aesthetic. The black cylindrical shape of the basin echoes the round mirror and acts as a counterpoint to the lines of the accompanying furniture.

At its heart, Elementi has been designed with practicality in mind from the outset, meaning that the usefulness of the furniture is not compromised in order to deliver its minimalist good looks.
