This statement Utopia Bathrooms scheme shows that monochrome isn’t just a thing of the 80s

When it comes to the modern monochrome trend, it’s not just black and white. Things have moved on from the 1980s! These days, monochrome is used more as a base colour – teamed with something vibrant or crazy like a busy floor, brightly coloured walls and unusual accessories. It is still a timeless style, with sophistication and minimalism at its core. But moving into 2017/18, we are seeing bright whites with accents of black alongside bold colour or even striking shapes. It’s ‘dinner party cool’ – a trend that will turn heads and won’t go out of fashion.

There’s a hint of retro glamour about this fabulous display of vibrant colour and striking geometrics. The bold and glossy setting is the perfect backdrop for the organic curves and soft white surface of the ‘Star’ wash basin unit and matching mirror from Utopia Bathrooms. Star is a brand new collection of modular bathroom furniture that combines simple design, tactile Coralux solid surface and a host of clever features. The range comprises a double drawer washbasin unit with a sculpted basin and built-in mood lighting, a matching illuminated mirror with demister, integrated sound speakers and a ‘floating’ shelf, a tall storage unit and a WC unit. Complementing the Star furniture with nickel accents are Hexo wall tiles in black and white and new Venetian marble floor tiles, also from Utopia.
