Three-starred Michelin chef Quique Dacosta worked with Porcelanosa to create a domestic kitchen inspired by a professional perspective
Porcelanosa has debuted a new kitchen jointly designed with three-starred Michelin chef Quique Dacosta.
Shown for the first time at the manufacturer’s own international exhibition held at the company headquarters in Villarreal, Spain, the kitchen has been created to incorporate some of the key functional considerations of a professional kitchen space in a domestic setting.
Dacosta said: “This partnership emerged in the most natural way. We both share a love for design and most importantly, we have the same principle of excellence in everything we do.
“We have created a new language that is somewhere between the professional kitchen of a restaurant with three Michelin stars and household cooking. I have put my style, way of working and professionalism into this collaboration, offering the most innovative solutions and avant-garde design.”
The kitchen is composed on one side of a central island with Snow White cabinets and black drawer pulls. The countertop is made from 72mm Krion – Porcelanosa’s Solid Surface.
On the other side are doors that hide part of the kitchen and are made from oak in carbon colour. Inside these sliding doors, the washing zone appears with LED lighting and integrated appliances with oak shelves, all designed to maximize space and functionality.
