August’s issue of Designer tracks back to home turf with a focus on British design

This month’s issue marks something of a momentous occasion. After travelling around the European Union with a look at the advantages of European design, we’re homing in on home turf and focusing on the beauty of our very own British design brands.

However, though an exciting topic, we can’t possibly delve our teeth into British design without acknowledging the enormously sad, untimely passing of Mark Wilkinson. This design legend and creator of the English Country Kitchen – a style which hugely impacted the future of the KB industry – is fondly remembered this issue, with an in-depth look back at his life and work.

Alongside this, we’ll be looking at the tradition of the working triangle; the top tech choices for CAD; an evaluation of the best range cookers on the market, and enjoying the lavish luxury of hotel bathroom style.
