For the first time, the partnership between Scavolini and Diesel extends to the bathroom, with a charming and original proposal – the Diesel Open Workshop bathroom. The familiar industrial style is represented here by significant use of metal, which is also found in the Stock Rack modular shelving system.
The bathroom is interpreted as a place of intimacy, personality and, with its openness, sociability. The superb attention to style – which we would expect from its collaborators – penetrates down to the smallest of details, the materials and the textures, to create a design which combines fashionable informality with impeccable design quality.
From an architectural point of view, the character of the Diesel Open Workshop is metropolitan. With the modular metallic structures’ clever mix of solids and voids, the construction is combined with opaque shades to create a comfortable and casual environment.
Metal dominates, from the handle grips to the supports, to the frame of the glass doors. Two types of glass door are available. The first, Smoky Glass, is clouded with a black mesh. The second, Ribbed Glass, is fashionably diamond-patterned. The lacquered version is also available for the entire Scavolini range. Three decorative melamine finishes are also available. The whole collection features handleless doors on its cabinetry, which is opened by a simple aluminium groove, that runs flush along the edge of the doors. Another distinctive feature is the mirror-polished edging, with metal-finish corner plaques fitted on the four corners.
The Diesel Open Workshop kitchen and bathroom collection is available in a host of different configurations that combine materials and colours for doors, tops, profiles and glazing, representing the strong character and soul of the project.
