This year’s Surface & Materials show returns to NEC Birmingham from the 10th – 12th October. The exhibition is part of UK Construction Week, which is celebrating its third year by filing every corner of Birmingham’s 1,600 m² space with nine unique shows – all occurring under the same roof. The myriad of incredible exhibitions will allow visitors to investigate a selection of decorative and durable finishes, learn about kitchen design CAD services and discover waterproof or hygiene critical solutions.

The Material Lab Central Hub:
Curate by Material Lab, this central feature of the show will gather the latest innovations in surfaces, by bringing together leading established manufacturers and rising stars of the surfaces world, in collaboration with sponsors Johnson Tiles and Dulux.
The Oodhouse concept
This concept originates from Estonia and presents a pod home, hotel cabin with a truly unique aesthetic. This residential solution has a quick and flexible construction process and is crafted from timber, with discreet privacy glass that also cleverly reflects its surroundings to the exterior.
Across the three day exhibition, thought-provoking discussions, from informative talks to debates and CPDs from event partners will draw the attention of visitor far and wide. Speakers include BRE, Grimshaw Architects, The Design Concrete Centre, Envelope Architects, The Cambridge Graphene Centre, Rachel Bevan Architects, Canon 3D Printing and Dulux.
A Flooring Workshop run in conjunction with FITA:
In conjunction with the Flooring Industry Training Association, a selection of leading master fitters will provide informative presentations covering all areas of contract flooring.
