Ahead of its appearance at FTK, during this year’s Salone Del Mobile exhibition, Falmec has given a sneak peak of its state-of-the-art Spazio extraction system.
The new Spazio system aims to give ‘personality and uniqueness to every kitchen’; designed by Francesco Lucchese, Spazio combines the capabilities of contemporary extraction with integrated storage solutions and a superbly sleek aesthetic. The 180cm body features two storeys of satin glass shelves – creating additional storage space for pots, pans and utensils – while on the underneath of the structure sits several hooks for hanging utensils and a series of integrated LEDs, that illuminate the island – crafting effective task lighting.
In addition to its primary body, the Spazio system features a fresh selection of accessories, alongside built-in USB ports, downward power sockets for charging devices and tablet support that allows users to charge and use their tablet or IPad during the cooking process. And, in accordance with the continued trend for bringing the outside in, Spazio’s unique structure can house a small ‘indoor garden’, allowing users to grow aromatic plants and herbs, without absorbing space on worktops and windowsills.
Its primary functionality, though easily overlooked with the myriad of modern accessories and exciting additional functions, is the impeccable extraction system. Employing Circle.Tech technology, the patented system combines suction and filtration of the air in a single horizontal body, while the Carbon Zero filters – which encase the whole motor – are made of active charcoal and zeolite and are extremely effective in fighting bad odours and humidity.
